Aware. That is how I’d describe this little darling when we first met. Her eyes were constantly roaming, trying to take in this brand new world. She wasn’t fussy, wasn’t upset… just very aware. But, like anyone, a newborn can only take in so much before exhaustion sets in, making the eyes droopy and heavy. Eventually, weariness won out, and she fell into that deep sleep I wait so eagerly for with newborns.
Welcome, sweet little one! There is so much beauty in life. Keep taking it all in.
